18th. January 2010.

I bought a used Canon PowerShot S1 IS at a local trading site. The package includes the Canon CB-4AHE Ni-MH battery charger. Both items looks excellent cosmetically and on test, both functions fine. What I like about the camera: 10X optical zoom, lens shift optical image stabiliser, swivel out LCD screen, a VGA movie mode with audio at 30 fps and the optical zoom is usable during capture, shutter speeds of 1/2000 to a full 15 seconds. It is powered by 4X AA battery and in my country, getting a Li-Ion battery off the shelf is expensive. What I do not like: small LCD screen and no AF assist lamp. For me, this camera does take good images/videos and video capture is only limited by the CF card capacity. Image of the camera/charger was captured by a Fujifilm Finepix M603 without flash.

9th. January 2010

This morning, my wife and son gather some banana fruits for sale. It was requested by a close friend. She makes banana cakes at her bakery. The price of the fruit varies with demands and for this bunch, I expect to collect RM 10.00 (GBP 2.00). It's enough for my sundries today. Image of the fruit bunch was captured with autoflash.

Abdullah

Last week, my long time friend Abdullah appeared with his wife. We served together at the Royal Malaysian Air Force base in Labuan.

Enjoying his Milo drink

This morning, I stumbled upon this image of my grandson enjoying his Milo drink. Look at him. A cool Milo drink will boost his energy for the entire morning (only).
